FAQ

Welcome to our frequently asked questions page!

If you don’t find the answer to your question on this page, please use the contact tab and pop me an email. I’ll be happy to help!

DO I NEED TO BOOK IN ADVANCE ??

Yes, open by appointment only. Use ‘Contact’  form to email me to schedule your session. Please have a think about a suitable date and time that works for you and I will check my planner for you.

HOW DO I SECURE MY BOOKING ??

A $50 deposit is required to secure your date/time.  Slots are not held. First come, first serve.
Once your slot is secured, a Booking Confirmation, Information Kit and contract document is then emailed to you. Contract is required to be E-Signed. The information kit will answer any question you may have, help you understand how the whole process works and most importantly help you prepare for the session.

Deposit is non-refundable, as slot is held as per your request.

DO YOU OFFER ALL UNEDITIED IMAGES ON A DISC ??

I prefer not to offer all unedited images from the session on a disc, only processed images. The reason for this is because that’s a representation of my work. It’s kind of like a baker giving you the cake, minus the icing! I believe you only need the best from the bunch to treasure for a lifetime.

HOW DOES THE GALLERY WORK ??

All images from your session will be displayed on a gallery for you, this is where you make your favorite image selection. A link and password will be supplied to you. You will have images included in your package, if you fall in love with more images and are finding it hard to narrow down your selection you can always purchase ‘Additional Images’. Family and friends can also place their own order via the gallery.

CAN I EXPRESS MY IMAGE ORDER? I NEED MY IMAGES ASAP?

Yes, you definitely can! I know how exciting it is to see the finished product. You can expedited your order. There is a $25 fee to receive your images within one week or less. Email me your request!

DO YOU TRAVEL?

Yes, I sure do! Travel fee will apply

WHAT TYPE OF CAKE SHOULD I BRING FOR THE CAKE SMASH SESSION ?

The cake should be a small cake smash size with soft butter cream icing and a light color cake inside (no red velvet or chocolate).  Please leave cake at room temperature about 2 hours before the session to ensure the frosting is nice and soft.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR ?

I would avoid large logos and writing on clothing. Think timeless and ensure outfits match your home décor, after all this is where they will be displayed.

WARDROBE 101- Coordinating but not matchy-matchy- Just be yourselves. Dress like yourselves!

Decide on a theme. Do you want to have dressy or traditional photo’ ? Or do you want to capture your casual, playful, vintage or edgy style? Don’t forget, you can always bring a change of clothes.

It’s always best to think color. Saturated colors (green, blue, red, purple, orange, yellow & maroon) Really pop in your photo’s. I don’t recommend too much white- it just doesn’t do much for most people. When trying to put together outfits for larger groups, try to coordinate, not match. Avoid pastel, they are like white. Feel free to mix and match stripes and small patterns. Pick 2-3 colors and mix them all in. Even in summer, layers add interest. You can always remove an article of clothing to create a totally different look. Think hats, scarves, jackets, belts, vests, leggings, tie, layering shirts, boots, etc. All accessories are welcome.

Highly suggest you check out the tab ‘ Session Style Guide’. It’s a helpful read. Once booking is made, I will be more than happy to provide you with examples of outfit styles and colors that work well together. Email me! ( If you are anything like me, I like to visualize things) After booking, i’ll be happy to provide some links to my fav vendors.

CHILDREN AND BABIES

I love the vintage/boho, old skool look. Lace, velvet, floral, burnt colors, hunter green or brown overalls, hats, and simple jeans with no shirt. Small props from their room are great.  A flower or cute hat can add a splash of color that makes a photo pop. Bring snacks for kids and water but avoid things that are going to color or get stuck in their teeth. A favorite doll or teddy bear, wooden toy or activities like bubbles are wonderful. Make sure your child gets plenty of sleep the night before and has eaten prior. We’re all happy on a full belly.

Emotion in photography is what I live for. During your session I will of course get the “granny” shot. The “granny” shot is that shot your grandma wants to hang on her wall where everyone is looking and smiling at the camera, but the majority of our session will be centered around capturing connection between you and your loved ones and enjoying the raw moments you are in.
